New Year, New Recipes

Since I am home with the kids now and am not so rushed at dinnertime, I am trying to be better in the kitchen. It's no secret to most people who know me that I don't really like to cook that much, even though I love baking. I don't know the reason for this but maybe it has something to do with the end result. Baked goods last longer than dinner and people seem to get greater enjoyment from them!

I have been getting back on track with meal planning since this year started. Todd and I have been sitting down and discussing possible meals for the week. Each week, I cook some things we really like and I try to throw in at least one new recipe. As a result, I am actually beginning to enjoy cooking a little more. There have been some recipes that we won't have again and others that will become regular meals in our dinner rotation.

I still do my fair share of baking and Michael helps me quite a bit with that. He loves to make things for Todd and he loves to eat them too. This week we made mini cheesecakes and we are going to make cookies tomorrow!!

Batman loves to cook with me as well. Though I'm not really big on the baking...too fussy! Make sure to share any good recipes you find!

I love to cook and do enjoy baking, but it's all not nearly as fun when hubby isn't home during the week. I cook and bake less these days. Glad you're getting into it and enjoying it!

Can you try and post some of the new recipes? I've liked all of the past suggestions that I've gotten from you, so I know there is a good chance that any recipe will be Andy proof.
