31 weeks today

I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is flying by. It seems like just yesterday that we found out we were expecting baby #2. And then a short time later, that we were expecting a girl! This pregnancy has been different than my first one in some ways and exactly the same in others. I have had awful heartburn with both pregnancies and it's not something I would wish on anyone. Luckily, I have been using medicine this time to control it and this helps a good bit.

I had my 30 week appt yesterday. We had another ultrasound to check on baby and my placenta to make sure it was growing up the right way. Thankfully, it was! We got to see Katie again and the tech confirmed that she was indeed still a girl. For some reason, both Todd and I were a little bit worried about this. We got to see her face, arms, legs and even her cute little fist all balled up. I joked that she had been using it to hit me from the inside out. She already weighs 3 lbs 9 oz, which I think is about what Michael weighed at this time.

My appt went well otherwise. My blood pressure is still good and I have only gained 16 pounds so far. Of course, I wouldn't expect to gain much considering I can't eat much. I will now go to appts every 2 weeks until mid-February when I will start to go once a week.

Here are some pictures of Katie from the ultrasound:

I can't believe how far along you are. It seems like you just found out. That last picture is an amazing shot.

LOVE the ultrasound pics! I can't believe you don't have that much longer. It will go by so fast. Glad to hear all is well!

I have heard this as a wise-tale and now I read they did a survey. Women who had the worst heartburn have children with more hair on thier heads than others. :) Interesting since Katie already has hair.
Nathan had a head-full and mine wasn't that bad.....so I guess I blow the theory or am the exception to the rule. The few times I did have it - it was awful - so I really feel for you!
